| Obverse description | Central shield of the Coat of Arms of Liberia, depicting a three-masted sailing ship on open waters, a palm tree to the right, a rising sun on the horizon, and a plough and dove in the field, all within a wreath of leaves. A scroll across the upper portion of the shield bears the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE'. The legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' arcs along the outer border at top and is repeated along the lower border. The date '2005' is divided by the base of the shield, with '20' to the left and '05' to the right. |

| Additional information |
Liberia's FIFA World Cup commemorative series, issued ahead of the 2006 Germany tournament, was produced by a private minting contractor and sold primarily through telemarketing and home-shopping channels rather than through conventional numismatic distribution. The Paraguay team issue is one of dozens in the set, most struck in silver-plated copper with no meaningful connection to the Liberian monetary system — the face value is nominal and these pieces never circulated.
