Popis líce	The obverse features the coat of arms of Nauru centrally positioned in the field, depicting a quartered shield supported by two frigate birds with outstretched wings, surmounted by a twelve-pointed star above a scroll inscribed NAOERO, and a lower scroll bearing the national motto GOD'S WILL FIRST. The legend BANK OF NAURU arcs along the left and upper periphery, with the date 2006 positioned at the base of the design, all struck on a polished proof field.

Popis rubu	The reverse presents a facing portrait effigy of Johannes Rau, 8th President of the Federal Republic of Germany (1999–2004), rendered in high relief against a polished field. The subject is depicted in a contemporary suit and tie, with his facial features struck with considerable detail befitting a proof issue. The legend 1999 - 2004 JOHANNES RAU arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, while the denomination 10 DOLLARS appears in the lower field, also within the beaded inner circle.
