The composition radiates symmetrically from a central circular aperture inlaid with a mother-of-pearl insert, surrounded by concentric rings of pointed lancet tracery, trefoil and quatrefoil motifs, and interlocking circular medallions. The elaborate filigree-like lacework fills the entire coin field to the rim, creating a deeply sculpted, three-dimensional effect with antique finish enhancing the relief contrast.
