A decorative Greek-key meander border frames the entire design at the rim, referencing traditional Chinese ornamental motifs appropriate to the Lunar New Year theme. The legend CANADA 2013 arcs along the upper border, while 10 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower border, all within the meander frame. The engraver's initials SN appear discreetly to the right of the central motif. |
