| Descrizione del dritto | The complete National Arms of Barbados occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield bearing a bearded fig tree and two Pride of Barbados flowers, supported on the dexter by a dolphin and on the sinister by a pelican, with a helmet and mantling above surmounted by an arm holding two crossed pieces of sugar cane. A scrolling ribbon below the shield bears the national motto in two segments reading PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The date 1983 is divided on either side of the arms, flanked by the trident symbol of Barbados, and the legend BARBADOS curves along the lower periphery within a beaded border. |
