| 正面描述 | The third portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara and a drop earring with a pearl necklace, as modelled by Raphael David Maklouf. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the left rim, with BELIZE and the date 1992 along the right rim. The engraver's initials RDM appear on the truncation of the bust. The design is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. |

This issue is part of Belize's ongoing commemorative program, which has leaned heavily on large-format silver pieces since the country gained independence from Britain in 1981. The Montgomery in the title refers to General Bernard Law Montgomery, and the 1992 date places this squarely within the wave of Allied commander commemoratives that flooded the collector market around the 50th anniversaries of the major Second World War campaigns.
At 155.6 grams of .999 silver, these were produced for the international collector trade, not domestic circulation. Belize's GDP in 1992 made a coin of this intrinsic value essentially theoretical as currency.
