| Reverse description | Full-length depiction of the Christ the Redeemer statue (Cristo Redentor), shown facing with arms outstretched in the characteristic pose of the Rio de Janeiro landmark, rendered in fine detail against a plain polished field. The curved legend CHRIST THE REDEEMER arcs along the upper periphery, with BRAZIL inscribed immediately below on the right. A designer's monogram appears in the lower left field, and the gold fineness mark Au.999 is inscribed in the lower right field. |

| Additional information |
Part of a sprawling series of miniature gold issues produced for Fiji by the Pobjoy Mint, targeting the collector market rather than any plausible circulation. The Christ the Redeemer connection to Fiji is purely nominal — the denomination exists because Fiji's Crown dependency status made it a convenient issuing authority for commemorative programs with no domestic relevance whatsoever.
The 2012 statue choice marks the 80th anniversary of the monument's consecration on Corcovado, completed October 12, 1931.
