Beschrijving voorzijde	Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing a tiara and a lightly draped neckline, executed in a refined relief style. The portrait, attributed to the Arnold Machin effigy used on Commonwealth coinage of the period, occupies the central field. The circular legend reads COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMA ISLANDS around the upper periphery and ELIZABETH II along the lower periphery, all separated from the rim by a continuous border of raised beads.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Central depiction of Fort Charlotte, a historic fortification in Nassau, flanked on either side by tall, slender palm trees with arching fronds. A flagpole surmounts the fort's central tower, and a rising sun is visible in the background behind the battlements. In the lower foreground, stylised waves represent the sea. The denomination TEN DOLLARS arcs along the upper periphery, and the date 1972 appears in the exergue, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.
