Beschrijving keerzijde The full heraldic coat of arms of Saint Lucia is rendered in vivid colourization at centre, featuring a quartered azure shield charged with a Tudor rose, a fleur-de-lis, a bamboo stalk, and a cross, surmounted by a visored tournament helm with ornate mantling. The crest comprises a hand grasping a flaming torch, while two Saint Lucia parrots (Amazona versicolor), depicted in brilliant green with blue and chestnut accents and wings displayed, serve as supporters. Three scroll banners below bear the national motto THE·LAND, THE·PEOPLE, and THE·LIGHT respectively. The country name St. Lucia appears in gold cursive script above the arms, set against a radiating sunburst field with a prominent golden triangular geometric motif, and the date 2023 is inscribed at the bottom of the field.

Aanvullende informatie

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank serves eight member territories — Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — and issues coinage on behalf of all of them collectively, a monetary arrangement that has been in place since 1983. Gold collector issues from this authority are produced in extremely limited quantities and are typically struck at the Royal Canadian Mint or the Pobjoy Mint under contract. KM#29.1 indicates a relatively recent catalogue assignment within a short series.
