The crest comprises a hand grasping a flaming torch, while two Saint Lucia parrots (Amazona versicolor), depicted in brilliant green with blue and chestnut accents and wings displayed, serve as supporters. The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank serves eight member territories — Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — and issues coinage on behalf of all of them collectively, a monetary arrangement that has been in place since 1983.
