| Obverse description | A forward-facing draped bust of Claudia Alta 'Lady Bird' Johnson, 36th First Lady of the United States, occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed coiffed hair and a pearl necklace. The legend LADY BIRD JOHNSON arcs along the upper periphery, while IN GOD WE TRUST appears in the left field and LIBERTY 2015 W in the right field. The ordinal designation 36TH and the tenure dates 1963-1969 are inscribed along the lower periphery. Engravers' initials LLF and MG are present in the lower field to either side of the truncation. |
