| 背面描述 | A winged celestial angel rendered in high relief occupies the central field, depicted in flowing robes with large feathered wings spread wide and a halo encircling the head. The figure is shown in a dynamic, descending pose with drapery billowing beneath, accompanied by decorative scrollwork in the field. The legend CHRISTMAS arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 1998 inscribed to the left of the central figure. The denomination TEN DOLLARS is inscribed in a straight legend along the lower portion of the field. |

The Marshall Islands began issuing commemorative collector coinage in the late 1980s as a direct revenue strategy following independence, with the U.S. Mint striking many early pieces under contract. By 1998, the program had expanded to dozens of themes annually, Christmas issues among the most regularly produced. These circulated almost exclusively through overseas collector markets — the coins were never intended for, nor saw, domestic use in the atolls.
