Obverse description Unadorned right-facing effigy of King Charles III, depicted in civilian dress with a suit collar, rendered in high relief against a matte field. The legend CHARLES III · 2026 · SOLOMON ISLANDS curves around the upper periphery. Below the portrait, the denomination and fineness inscription reads 1/100 oz · $10 · Au 999.9, with the engraver's initials DT incuse to the right of the truncation. The border is elaborately decorated with a continuous ornamental band incorporating Greek key motifs, foliate scrollwork, floral rosettes, and interlaced Celtic-style knotwork, characteristic of a luxury collector issue.

Reverse description The reverse presents a richly engraved allegorical scene commemorating Louis XIV, the Sun King of France (1638–1715). To the right, a large, dominant full-length figure of Louis XIV stands in regal pose, dressed in his iconic royal regalia including an ermine-trimmed mantle adorned with fleurs-de-lis, lace cravat, and holding a cane; peacocks are depicted at his feet. In the background to the left, a detailed architectural rendering of the Palace of Versailles is shown set within its formal gardens, with courtiers in period costume promenading in the foreground. The mint master's crowned monogram EW appears within a cartouche above the central field. The dates 1638 – 1715 are inscribed at the top of the field, and the name LOUIS XIV. appears in a rectangular cartouche at the base. The border is decorated with a continuous wreath of oak and laurel leaves.
