Reverse description A detailed architectural rendering of the famous double spiral staircase of Vladislav Hall in Prague Castle (attributed to Benedikt Ried, late Gothic period) occupies the left and central portion of the field, depicting the characteristic interlocking Gothic ribbed vaulting of the twin staircases with their ornate pointed arches and sculptural niches. To the right, a large Gothic archway frames a standing episcopal or royal statue grasping a sceptre. The composition employs a selective mirror-field polished proof finish to emphasise the architectural relief. The Slovak legend ZDVOJENÉ TOČITÉ SCHODISKO, meaning 'double spiral staircase', is inscribed along the lower and right periphery of the coin.
