The shield, quartered with a rising sun above a sailing ship, is supported on the dexter by a marlin and on the sinister by a flamingo, both rendered in fine relief. Above the shield rises an elaborate helm and mantling surmounted by a conch shell crest, while below a scroll bears the national motto FORWARD UPWARD ONWARD TOGETHER.
