正面描述 Highly detailed high-relief depiction of a grand Baroque palace facade occupying the majority of the field, featuring ornate pilasters, cornices, and decorative sculptural elements. In the lower foreground, a reclining male figure in the classical tradition — likely a river god — is shown with putti at his side, rendered in bold sculptural relief. A central arched window insert is set with an orange Tiffany art glass panel, evoking authentic Baroque architectural grandeur. The shield-shaped national arms of Palau appears in the upper left quadrant, with the legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU and the denomination 10 DOLLARS inscribed in the upper field. The legend RAINBOW'S END is also present in the lettering surrounding the design.

背面描述 Elaborate interior scene of a Baroque palace rendered in extremely high sculptural relief, featuring grand arched colonnades, ornamental torchères, and a procession of classically draped female figures along the right side of the field. The central element is a tall arched niche set with an orange Tiffany art glass panel that simulates an illuminated window, surrounded by richly carved architectural ornamentation including sun-face medallions and foliate friezes. The elaborately patterned marble floor of the palace interior is depicted in the lower field with fine geometric engraving. The inscriptions TIFFANY ART, 2009, and BAROQUE appear in the lower field in capital letters. The entire composition is struck in antiqued finish, enhancing the depth and drama of the Baroque aesthetic.

附加信息

Palau's marine-themed commemorative program, running since the mid-1990s, became one of the more commercially successful Pacific island coin series of its era — not because Palau had any particular minting tradition, but because the country's licensing arrangements with European distributors made these pieces a staple of the collector novelty market. The "Baroque" issue sits within that same commercial pipeline, produced for the global thematic coin trade rather than domestic circulation.

Palau has no mint of its own. Production of this series was handled by contracted European facilities, most commonly in Germany or Poland.
