Reverse description The reverse is printed in rose-red and carries a large central guilloche medallion bearing the numeral "10" within a circular band inscribed "CHARTERED BANK OF INDIA, AUSTRALIA & CHINA"; the medallion is surrounded by an elaborate engine-turned lathe-work pattern of interlocking rosettes and lozenge ornaments that fill the entire field. A small floral rosette ornament appears at the centre left, and Chinese manuscript annotations are visible at upper left and right margins.
