Obverse description The central field displays the quartered coat of arms of Andorra, depicting the traditional heraldic emblems of the co-princes: the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell and the bars of Catalonia, alongside the Counts of Foix and Bearn. The shield is encircled by a twisted rope border adorned with twelve five-pointed stars, evoking the European Community motif. The circumferential legend reads JOAN D.M. BISBE D'URGELL I PRINCEP D'ANDORRA, identifying the issuing co-prince, with the denomination indicator ECU positioned at the base of the inner design. A fine beaded border runs along the coin's rim.
