背面描述 Central vignette shows a hilltop fortress with a large crowd gathered below, rendered in intaglio in grey and green tones. The composition is framed by elaborate multicoloured geometric and arabesque guilloche borders in the Islamic tradition, with the bank name in Arabic script across the upper register and the denomination in Arabic letters within a green panel at the lower centre.

备注

Thomas De La Rue printed this series during a period when Libya remained under UN sanctions — imposed after Lockerbie — that were only formally lifted in September 2003. The notes were prepared and issued while Gaddafi's government was still navigating the drawn-out compensation negotiations with victims' families, making this a transitional issue in every practical sense.

De La Rue's contract work for Tripoli during this period is a minor footnote in the broader story of how sanctioned states maintained functioning currency infrastructure through intermediaries operating from neutral jurisdictions.
