| Descrizione del dritto | The Tunisian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided quarterly with a sailing ship above the sea in the upper portion, scales of justice on the lower left, and a lion passant on the lower right. A crescent and star device surmounts the shield at the top. Two decorative arabesque ornaments flank the shield in the left and right fields. The denomination '10 دنانير / 10 DINARS' is inscribed in the lower field, with the circular legend 'الجمهورية التونسية' in Arabic running along the upper rim and 'REPUBLIQUE TUNISIENNE' in Latin along the lower rim. |

The coup referenced here is the November 7, 1987 removal of Habib Bourguiba by Prime Minister Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who declared the aging president medically unfit to govern and assumed power without a single shot fired. Ben Ali's government made November 7th a national celebration, commissioning commemorative issues at regular anniversaries — this piece marks the eighth. The series was struck with deliberate weight and fineness to appeal to the international collector market rather than domestic circulation.
KM#370 is among the later issues in the November 7th commemorative run before the series grew formulaic.
