Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of Queen Victoria wearing a small crown and veil, rendered in high relief in the style characteristic of William Wyon. The queen's hair is neatly arranged beneath the crown, with fine detail in the facial features and drapery. The legend VICTORIA QUEEN arcs around the upper periphery in capital Latin letters. The field is smooth and slightly convex, typical of a piedfort trial strike. No date appears on the obverse.
