| Descrizione del dritto | Left-facing crowned effigy of King George VI, modelled by Percy Metcalfe, occupies the centre of the field. The king is depicted wearing the Imperial State Crown, rendered in fine relief with detailed arches, crosses, and jewelled band. The engraver's initials 'PM' appear discreetly below the truncation. The surrounding circular legend reads GEORGIUS VI DEI GRA. REX ET IND. IMP., separated by a beaded inner border from the reeded outer edge. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse displays the denomination '10 CENTS' in bold serif lettering at the centre of the field, enclosed within a raised inner circle. The date '1943' appears below the denomination, and the mint mark 'C' for the Royal Canadian Mint is positioned at the base of the inner circle, partially obscured by a decorative scrollwork ornament. The issuer's name 'NEWFOUNDLAND' curves along the upper periphery between two dot stops, all within a beaded border consistent with the obverse. The lower portion of the inner circle is adorned with an elegant floral and scroll design in the style of the earlier Victorian reverse by de Saulles. |
