Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a large bold numeral 10 in bronze ink at centre, flanked by two Roman numeral X devices in a symmetrical guilloche border arrangement, with the full redemption and legal tender text printed in fine letterpress across the field.
Reverse lettering This note is exchangeable for United States Notes by the Asst. Treasurers and designated Depositories of the United States in sums not less than Three Dollars Receivable in payment of all dues in the United States, less than Five Dollars, except Customs.
