Reverse description The reverse faithfully reproduces the design of the celebrated and rare 1930 Australian penny, originally created by George Kruger Gray. The central field displays the denomination 'ONE PENNY' in bold serif lettering within a beaded inner circle, flanked above and below by delicate foliate ornaments. The outer legend 'COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA' arcs around the upper periphery, while the date '1930' appears at the base between two small decorative dots. A fine beaded border separates the inner device from the outer legend, itself bounded by a toothed outer rim. The entire composition is rendered in deeply mirrored cameo proof, celebrating one of Australia's most iconic and numismatically significant pre-decimal coins.
