| 备注 |
Canadian Tire "money" was introduced in 1958 as a loyalty scheme to compete with trading stamp programs — specifically S&H Green Stamps — that were drawing customers away from independent retailers. The paper coupons, redeemable for merchandise in-store, were an immediate success and became a fixture of Canadian consumer culture for decades.
The British American Bank Note Company printed these using security printing techniques borrowed from genuine currency production — microprinting, fine-line engraving, and controlled paper stock — which is precisely why counterfeiting them was taken seriously enough to prosecute under Canadian law. A.J. Billes, one of the co-founders' sons, appears in the signature field alongside F. Saski.
