| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, featuring a shield divided into three sections and supported by a scarlet ibis on the dexter side and a cocrico on the sinister side, both rendered in fine detail. A steel helmet and a ship's wheel surmount the shield as crest. A ribbon below the supporters bears the national motto in two parts. The circular legend REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO arcs across the upper field, while the date appears in the lower exergue area. |
