Obverse description The obverse features the Coat of Arms of Sri Lanka centrally positioned within the scalloped field. At the centre of the arms, a lion passant holding a sword is depicted on a pedestal, enclosed within a circular wreath of petals and concentric decorative rings. Flanking the base of the pedestal are two roundels, with a Dhamma Chakra (eight-spoked wheel) prominently placed at the top of the design. The overall composition is rendered in high relief against a plain field, with no inscriptions on this side.
