Castellvell del Camp is a small municipality in the Baix Camp comarca of Tarragona, and like hundreds of Catalan and Spanish towns during the Civil War, it issued its own emergency paper fractional currency when Republican authorities failed to maintain an adequate supply of small-denomination coinage. The Turró reference places this squarely within the documented corpus of local wartime *moneda municipal*, but Castellvell's issues are among the less frequently encountered ones from the region — the town's population at the time was well under a thousand, meaning total print runs were correspondingly low.
