Castellvell del Camp is a small municipality in the Baix Camp comarca of Tarragona, and like hundreds of Catalan and Spanish towns during the Civil War, it issued its own emergency paper fractional currency when Republican authorities failed to maintain an adequate supply of small-denomination coinage.
