| 背面描述 | Central medallion enclosed within a beaded inner circle displays the Latin legend 'TUNISIE' across the upper field, the large numeral '10' at centre, 'CENTIMES' below, and the Gregorian year '1904' beneath that, with the Paris mint mark 'A' flanked by privy marks at the foot. The annular border surrounding the beaded circle is decorated with a continuous pattern of alternating teardrop and oval recessed pellets, creating a distinctive ornamental ring framed by the milled edge. |

Tunisia was nominally under Ottoman suzerainty when this coin was struck, but the Bey of Tunis had been a French protectorate since 1881 — meaning Muhammad IV's name appeared on the coinage while French administrators controlled the monetary policy behind it. The dual dating system used on these bronzes, showing both the Hijri and Common Era years simultaneously, was a direct accommodation to French colonial bureaucracy rather than local tradition.
The 1903 and 1904 issues correspond to Lec#98 and Lec#99 respectively, catalogued separately by Lecompte due to the differing Hijri year struck on each.
