A stylised spread-winged Gallic rooster is depicted below the central perforation in low relief, rendered in Lindauer's characteristic Art Deco manner. The republican motto 'LIBERTÉ * ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ' arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border. The date '1939' is struck in the lower field, completing the reverse composition. |
