The central device is flanked by two symmetrical olive or laurel branches springing from a tied bow at the base, their fronds curving upward to frame the denomination on either side. The entire composition is enclosed within a continuous beaded border, and the plain field exhibits the mirror-like finish characteristic of proof striking. |
