背面描述 Printed in blue on a yellow guilloche underprint, the reverse carries a central allegorical vignette of a classical female figure seated alongside a sailing ship in the background, rendered in fine intaglio line engraving. The denomination value "0$10" appears in bold numerals within circular guilloche medallions at left and right, flanked by intricate lathe-work ornamental panels. The bank name is inscribed in a scrolled ribbon banner across the upper portion, and the printer's imprint appears at the lower centre.

备注

Banco Nacional Ultramarino's 10 Centavos of 1914 belongs to a fractional series rushed out to address a chronic small-change shortage in Portuguese colonial territories — a problem that plagued the entire Lusophone world in the early twentieth century as silver coin disappeared from circulation. The "seal type II" designation distinguishes it from earlier impressions by the form of the official stamp applied over the printed surface, a security measure rather than a design revision.

Bradbury Wilkinson produced work for numerous colonial issuers during this period, and the technical quality of their intaglio printing holds up even on low-denomination pieces like this one.
