Obverse description Purple on multicolour underprint. The Type II Lisboa seal is positioned at lower centre, with the colonial arms vignette at right. The face bears the issuing authority title, place of issue (Bolama), denomination, and date of issue arranged in letterpress text across the note.

Reverse description Printed in blue on a yellow guilloche underprint, the reverse carries a central allegorical vignette of a classical female figure seated alongside a sailing ship in the background, rendered in fine intaglio line engraving. The denomination value "0$10" appears in bold numerals within circular guilloche medallions at left and right, flanked by intricate lathe-work ornamental panels. The bank name is inscribed in a scrolled ribbon banner across the upper portion, and the printer's imprint appears at the lower centre.
