| Descrição do reverso |
A central tree, symbolizing the national ceiba, divides the field and denomination, with crossed laurel or olive branches at the base and five-pointed stars flanking the upper portion of the tree. The peripheral legend carries the national motto and commemorative independence date, with the silver fineness indicated in the exergual area. The design alludes to the fiftieth anniversary of Central American independence from Spain. |
