| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of the Dominican Republic at centre, depicting a quartered shield charged with a Bible, a cross, and national flags, supported on the left by an olive branch and on the right by a palm branch, both rendered in fine relief. A ribbon above the shield bears the motto DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD in three sections, while the legend REPUBLICA DOMINICANA appears on a curved banner below the arms. The overall composition is framed by a fine beaded border. The engraving is attributed to Casimiro Nemesio de Moya and reflects a classical heraldic style. |
