Obverse description Central square hole flanked by four large Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu), reading clockwise from top: 至 (zhì), 通 (tōng), 寶 (bǎo), 正 (zhèng), forming the reign-title legend 至正通寶 (Zhizheng Tongbao). The characters are boldly rendered with well-defined strokes, occupying the four quadrants of the broad, flat field. The coin exhibits a wide, plain rim encircling the design, typical of Yuan dynasty cast coinage.

Reverse description Central square hole with two large characters in ʼPhags-pa script above and a two-character Chinese regular-script legend below, reading 壹兩重 (Yi Liang Zhong, meaning 'weight of one liang'). The ʼPhags-pa character ꡚꡞ (shi, ten) appears prominently above the hole, denoting the coin's denomination, while the Chinese weight inscription is positioned beneath the hole in the lower field. The broad plain rim and flat fields are consistent with the obverse, reflecting the large-format, high-denomination character of this issue.
