Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse displays the original Kiangsi Province Guangxu-era Qing dynasty host coin, featuring Chinese characters arranged in quadrants reading 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao) around a central beaded rosette ornament. The upper field bears Manchu script reading ᠪᠣᠣ ᠴᠠᠩ (Boo-chang, the mint name), while the outer legend reads 造省西江 (Made in Kiangsi Province) and 十當 (Worth Ten Cash). Applied over the host coin's field is a bold Soviet countermark, comprising Chinese characters impressed in intaglio style, partially overlapping the original legends. The coin displays characteristic green patination and wear consistent with circulation prior to countermarking.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse of the host Kiangsi Province 10 Cash coin depicts a sinuous coiling dragon rendered in medium relief, occupying the central field and oriented to face left with its body curling around a central flaming pearl. The dragon displays detailed scaled body work, horned head, and clawed extremities in the conventional Qing dynasty cash coin style. The circumferential Latin legend KIANG-SEE PROVINCE TEN CASH arcs around the upper periphery. The surface shows considerable wear and verdigris, with the Soviet countermark applied over portions of the design, partially obscuring original detail.
