Reverse description Central device features a coiled imperial dragon in profile, confronting a flaming pearl at centre, rendered in the redesigned style characteristic of the 1906 Hunan provincial issues. A circular Chinese legend arcs above the dragon within the field, while a romanised English legend in Latin characters curves along the lower periphery, identifying the issuing empire and coin type. The milled border frames the design on both sides.
