| Descrizione del rovescio | Central device features a coiled dragon in profile facing right, clutching a flaming pearl at centre, rendered in the redesigned Hunan-type style characteristic of the 1906 Qing coinage reform issues. A Chinese legend arcs above the dragon across the upper field, reading the reign title Guangxu and the word for 'made.' An English legend in Latin characters encircles the lower portion of the coin, reading TAI-CHING-TI-KUO COPPER COIN, identifying the issuing empire and the metal. The dragon's scales, whiskers, and surrounding cloud motifs are rendered in fine relief typical of the milled machine-struck production of the Hunan Mint. The overall composition follows the standardised obverse-reverse layout mandated by the Board of Revenue for provincial copper cash issues of this period. |
