| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features a large inscription field filled with Chinese and Manchu characters arranged in a distinctive radiating layout. At the center, the reign title 光緒 (Guangxu) appears prominently alongside 元寶 (Yuanbao), denoting the imperial currency. The outer legend, reading clockwise, gives the mint designation 福建官局造 (Made at the Fukien Official Bureau) along with the Minguan pass reference, while Manchu script ᠪᠣᠣ ᡶᡠ (Boo-fu) appears to the sides. The lower arc of the inner legend reads 每枚當錢十文 (Each piece equals ten cash), all enclosed within a beaded inner circle and a plain outer rim with reeded edge. |
