| 背面描述 | The reverse bears a multilingual legend in three scripts surrounding the central square hole, consistent with Xinjiang mint coinage practice of the Qing dynasty. Two Chinese characters 八年 (Ba Nian, meaning 'Year 8') appear above the hole, and 十 (Shi, meaning '10') appears below. To the left is the Manchu script rendering of 'Aksu' (ᠠᡴᠰᡠ), and to the right is the Arabic script Uyghur rendering اقسو (Aqsu), both identifying the Aksu mint. The combination of Chinese, Manchu, and Uyghur legends is characteristic of coinage struck at the southern Xinjiang mints during the Daoguang reign. |
