| 正面铭文 | *****REPUBLICA DE BOLIVIA***** |
| 背面描述 | A full-length figure of a Diablada dancer dominates the central field, depicted in motion wearing the elaborate horned devil mask and richly ornamented costume traditional to this Bolivian folk dance. Dynamic curved lines radiate across the field behind the figure, evoking movement and theatrical energy. The denomination Bs10 appears in the lower right portion of the field. The circular legend LA DIABLADA DANZA TRADICIONAL arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1997 is inscribed at the base, all within a beaded border. |

The Ibero-American series was a joint commemorative program launched in 1991 involving mints from Spain, Portugal, and their former colonial territories across Latin America and the Caribbean — an arrangement that produced coordinated thematic issues struck simultaneously across more than a dozen sovereign mints. The 1997 theme of traditional dances placed Bolivia's issue alongside parallel pieces from Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, and others, each nation selecting a dance of cultural significance within their own borders.
Bolivia's Casa de la Moneda in Potosí — one of the oldest operating mints in the Western Hemisphere, founded in 1572 — handled domestic striking for this series.
