| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the Venezuelan national coat of arms to the left, alongside the large numeral '10' dominating the right portion of the field, with the denomination 'BOLÍVARES' inscribed below in bold lettering. The circular legend 'REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA' runs along the upper periphery, flanked by two small dots at the base. The date appears at the bottom of the coin between two raised dots. A continuous beaded border encircles the entire design. |

Venezuela introduced this zinc-aluminium variant partway through the 10 Bolívares series to replace the earlier nickel-clad steel issues — a quiet compositional shift driven by fluctuating metal costs as the country's oil revenues grew increasingly unstable under political pressure. The non-magnetic characteristic is the only reliable field test distinguishing it from its predecessor, and misattribution in bulk lots is common.
