| Reverse description | Central device depicts the Crown Prince's royal cypher surmounted by a tiered spired crown (chada) radiating stylized lightning bolts symmetrically into the field, symbolizing royal splendor. Below the central emblem, the denomination '๑๐' (10) appears to the lower left and the word 'บาท' (Baht) to the lower right. The legend 'ประเทศไทย' (Thailand) is inscribed along the lower rim. A curved Thai inscription along the upper periphery records the commemorative occasion — the 36th birthday anniversary of the Crown Prince on 28 July 2531 (1988). |

Issued to mark Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn's 36th birthday in 1988, this commemorative was produced during a particularly active period for Thai commemorative coinage — the Royal Thai Mint released numerous royal family issues through the late 1980s as the monarchy leaned into numismatic programs as a form of public engagement. Vajiralongkorn would not ascend to the throne until 2016, following the death of his father Bhumibol Adulyadej after a 70-year reign.
