A scenic mountain and river landscape vignette occupies the right portion of the note, with the bank title 中央銀行 in large characters across the top. The serial number and issue year inscription appear along the lower margin. |

The denomination 壹萬圓 is rendered in bold Chinese characters at centre, flanked on each side by the numeral 10000. Two manuscript signature columns appear at left and right within the guilloche border, one bearing the title 副局長 and one 局長. |
