The attribution to Thomas De La Rue as printer of this note is almost certainly incorrect and should be treated with caution. Iran severed ties with Western suppliers following the 1979 revolution, and by the time this series entered production the Central Bank of Iran had developed domestic printing capacity. De La Rue's name appears on earlier pre-revolutionary Iranian issues; its persistence in some catalog references likely reflects uncritical copying rather than verified sourcing.
The extraordinarily long print run — spanning over two decades — reflects chronic denominating pressure rather than design continuity as a deliberate policy.
