| 表面の説明 | The obverse is struck in the form of a traditional Chinese sycee (gold ingot), shaped to evoke the figure of Caishen, the God of Wealth. Dominating the upper field are large, boldly rendered Chinese characters 招財進寶 (meaning 'Attract wealth and treasures') executed in an ornate calligraphic style in high relief against a brushed antique-gold field. Below the calligraphy, centrally positioned, is the coat of arms of Chad flanked by a lion and a goat, enclosed within a diamond-shaped frame. Encircling the arms, the Latin legend REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD arcs above and 10000 FRANCS CFA below. The date 2021 appears to the right of the arms. |

Chad has issued collector coinage through the Monnaie de Paris and various private minting agencies since the 1970s, but its modern numismatic program — including issues like this one — operates almost entirely for the foreign collector market rather than domestic circulation. The country's actual currency is administered by the Bank of Central African States (BEAC), which covers six nations under the CFA franc zone; the 10,000 franc denomination has no practical spending equivalence in daily Chadian commerce.
The gold-plated variant, catalogued separately from the standard silver strike, typically commands less interest among serious collectors than the unplated .999 issue.
