| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse is struck in the form of a traditional Chinese sycee (gold ingot), shaped to evoke the figure of Caishen, the God of Wealth. Dominating the upper field are large, boldly rendered Chinese characters 招財進寶 (meaning 'Attract wealth and treasures') executed in an ornate calligraphic style in high relief against a brushed antique-gold field. Below the calligraphy, centrally positioned, is the coat of arms of Chad flanked by a lion and a goat, enclosed within a diamond-shaped frame. Encircling the arms, the Latin legend REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD arcs above and 10000 FRANCS CFA below. The date 2021 appears to the right of the arms. |

He stands frontally, holding a gold sycee ingot in his right hand and a Ru Yi scepter — a symbol of good fortune and authority — in his left hand. The figure is portrayed in a formal, hieratic style consistent with classical Chinese iconographic convention, with elaborate drapery and headdress rendered in fine relief. The antique gold finish lends depth and warmth to the sculptural detail throughout the design. |
