| 背面描述 | A highly detailed, fully three-dimensional sculptural effigy of Green Tara, the Bodhisattva of compassion, rendered in the round in gold-plated silver with extraordinary relief. The deity is depicted seated in the royal ease posture (lalitasana) upon an ornate double-lotus throne with elaborate petal detailing, adorned with an intricate crown, jewelled necklace, and richly embroidered robes with fine chased detailing. Her right hand rests upon her right knee in the gesture of supreme generosity (varada mudra), while her left hand is raised at chest height in the gesture of refuge, holding the stem of a lotus blossom. Flanking the figure are two large blossoming lotus flowers on curved stems rising at either side, and the overall composition reflects traditional Tibetan Buddhist iconographic conventions executed with exceptional sculptural craftsmanship. |
